So there have been some site visits around the country and we are now getting to the point of booking venues.

This is getting very real indeed…

At the moment we have these venues and dates pencilled in:

One question which came up frequently was whether this would be a single day or 2 day event? Quite often my response was that it is a lot of effort to go to for just a single day, but ultimately that comes down to what the potential vendors want, need and can afford. To that end, I have created a survey for potential vendors asking about their needs and requirements. If you are a vendor who would be interested in attending one or more of the expos then please take a few minutes to fill this in – the results will be a valuable aid in future planning. 

I also have a sign- up button on the Facebook page which pops you into a Mailchimp list specifically for vendors. I would love to see that list starting to fill!

In the meantime, we would like to start planning expos in other areas. We will be specifically looking at provincial areas for events later this year or early next year. There will be more information on those as the details are worked out.

Meeting the wonderful people who run these venues and the local tourism boards was a treat. I am really looking forward to working with them in the future as their experience and knowledge of their respective venues and areas is vital to the success of the events.
