Expo vendors and sponsors

  • All groups involved with the events must adhere to the Zero Waste plan for front of house and back of house waste.
  • Only organisations which can clearly show that they have a waste reduction or sustainability profile will be accepted as vendors for the event.
  • Wherever possible, no pamphlets or flyers are to be used. 
  • Ensure that you promote your involvement with the Expo on your website and social media. Logos and links will be provided as part of the contract.
  • Please consider your methods of collecting attendee information with competitions or lucky dip draws and whether or not it is Zero Waste (eg: business cards vs online registration). This also goes for swag and giveaways.
  • You will receive a set number of vendor badges which will define the maximum number of staff that you can have at your booth at any time. Zero Waste Expo Aotearoa reserves the right to verify the identity of any persons accepting and/or using a vendor badge.
  • All booths must be staffed for the full opening hours of the event.
  • Booth staff are not to eat in the booth.
  • Ensure that your staff are appropriately dressed. Scantily-clad ‘booth babes/dudes’ are not acceptable.
  • Whilst photography is permitted within the Expo, it must be appropriate to the event itself.
  • All booth staff must have read and agreed to the Expo Code of Conduct.
  • We understand that sometimes plans have to change and we will endeavour to work with you if that happens. Therefore, if your plans change, substitutions are always welcome in lieu of cancellations. If written notice is received within 2 months of the event the registration fee will be refunded less a $200 processing fee. Within 2 months of the event cancellations are non-refundable. Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days
Failure to comply with these rules may result in your booth being cancelled without refund.


  • Supply personnel who are versed in the current Waste reduction processes and can interact well with the public.
  • Ensure that you are showcasing the latest available information.
  • Understand that this is a platform for you to showcase your waste minimisation plan to the public.
  • Make the most of this opportunity to communicate with the public in your area!
